The Deep – Eastern Angles Theatre Company

4 & 5 October, nightly at 7.30pm Box Office Link The Deep
Based on a true story of both deep tragedy and great individual heroism as a fisherman struggles in the ice cold water off the coast of Iceland.
As night turns into day over the ice-cold waters off the coast of Iceland, a young fisherman finds his boat sinking. With his hopes of survival quickly drifting away, we witness his journey through the hopes, fears and regrets of his unresolved life. Featuring projection and live choral music from a local choir, this monologue presents a moving story of the fishing community and a touching tribute to those lost at sea. Written by Jon Atli Jonasson, The Deep was turned into a successful film and won many awards including Best Filmscript of the Year.
It will be directed by Jake Smith who most recently staged Stones in His Pockets, here at Hadleigh Old School. After a 70 minute first half, plus interval, there will be an opportunity to explore the making of the production through a question and answer session.
Tickets £15 Standard, £12 Under 25, please visit the Box Office for full T&Cs Eastern Angles Box Office
