Hadleigh Folk & Acoustic Night – Mary Humphreys and Anahata with Bernard Hoskin and Martin Newell and The Hosepipe Band

December 2, 2016 @ 7:30 pm - 11:00 pm

On December 2nd our main guests are Hadleigh club favourites Mary Humpreys and Anahata, musicians who specialise in English traditional music and song. Mary sings and plays concertina and banjo while anahate playes melodeons, Anglo concertina and cello.

Based in Cambridgeshire, much of the duo’s material is based on Mary’s research into locally collected traditional songs. They always include some songs with choruses and we’re hoping that they’ll include some Christmassy songs in their set for the evening.

There’s plenty more information on their website here.

Our featured artist for the evening is Bernard Hoskin, a singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist from Cambridge. He plays original songs, covers and traditional material, accompanying himself on guitar and mandola. You can find out more about Bernard and hear samples of his music on his website.
