Hadleigh and District Garden Club was originally known as Hadleigh and District Horticultural Society but in 1998 it took the less formal title and is now run as a very friendly small club in the Guild Room opposite St. Mary's Church on the 3rd Monday of the month commencing at 7.30.
The Club has speakers on various garden subjects, plants, biodiversity, pest control etc., some of whom own nurseries, have been on TV and specialist growers. Once a year a Summer Social is held in a members garden, subject to availability, and at Christmas we have a General Knowledge quiz with finger buffet. At each meeting there is a competition, raffle and usually members bring plants for sale, the meeting ending with refreshments.
