DESCRIPTION:CONCERT NEWS FROM HADLEIGH COMMUNITY CHOIR \n40 years ago\, the world came together for a day of music – two concerts\, one in Wembley and the other in Philadelphia. \nLive Aid\, was watched by 1.9 billion people worldwide and is estimated to have raised around £150 million to help tackle the famine in Ethiopia. The two concerts brought together some of the most popular 80s music and artists. \nOn 13 July 2025 it will be exactly 40  years since these concerts took place.\nTo celebrate\, Hadleigh Community Choir will be performing two concerts. Between them they will showcase many favourite songs from the original Live Aid concerts\, from Elton John and David Bowie to Hall and Oates\, from Status Quo to\, of course\, Queen. The two concerts will be totally different from each other and will contain\, in total\, 35 different songs. \nThe first concert is on Saturday 12 July in the Grand Hall\, Hadleigh Town Hall\, at 7:30pm. There will be a licensed bar and a cabaret feel to the evening\, in order to capture some of the Live Aid spirit. The second concert will be on Sunday 13t July\, exactly 40 years since the event\, and will be in Hadleigh United Reformed Church at 4pm. \nAdvance ticket sales will be available on 15 June from The Little Ginger Bee\, Avis the Newsagents and Idler Book Shop on Hadleigh High Street. \nTicket prices will be £10 for the Saturday (£5 for under 18s / over 60s) and £8 for the Sunday (£5 for under 18s / over 60s).
