February 2 @ 19:30 - 23:00

Morning all,

And Happy New Year!

On Sat 2nd Feb at 7.30pm we have our next club night at Hadleigh Town Hall. Former Musical Director of both the National Theatre and the Royal Shakespeare Company, but equally important  – Hadleigh favourite, Paul Higgs brings his Brief History Of Jazz to us. A whistle-stop tour through 100 years of jazz, it’s a brilliant night out and a superb showcase for one of the UK’s leading trumpet players. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=N4YFiQ8kvtg. As ever, do let me know if you’d like to come, the box office is open!

At the last gig I did mention that the following day, Sun 3rd Feb we are at Ronnie Scott’s with Sara Dowling and the Judy Garland programme that we had at the Town Hall in October. https://www.ronniescotts.co.uk/performances/view/5075-sunday-jazz-lunch-the-jazz-of-judy-garland-feat-sara-dowling-and-the-chris-ingham-trio. As of this morning there are 44 seats left at Ronnie’s and these are slightly restricted view so apologies, I don’t think I can run a coach this time. If anyone would like to make their own arrangements of course, there are those few seats remaining, so perhaps see you there for a glass of wine.

In the February half term, I am running a jazz course, in Ipswich, for players and singers https://suffolkjazzschool.co.uk/ Derek Nash, Chris Ingham, Joanna Eden and other tutors (including me). Do give me a ring or drop a line if this might be of interest. The first ever Suffolk Jazz School is shaping up to be a great event.

Best wishes everyone,
